In 2023, Express Entry will stop focusing on CRS scores and instead perform draws that will allow Canada to bring in foreigners who can meet the needs of the country’s labor market and ease a labor shortage.
Through Express Entry, 82,880 immigrants will be granted permanent residency in Canada in 2023. By 2024 and 2025, this will rise to 109,020 and 114,000, respectively. These higher goals highlight how significant economic immigration is to Canada considering the persistent labor deficit. In Canada, immigration is responsible for up to 90% of labor force growth and roughly 75% of population growth.
The Canadian government uses an online application management system called Express Entry. Applications for skilled workers who want to immigrate to Canada and get a permanent residence are organized and processed through this system. The Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program are the three main express entry economic immigration programs (FSTP). Keep in mind that applicants for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) who are in the Express Entry pool are already qualified for at least one of these schemes.
