ALBERTA INVITES 136 CANDIDATES WITH CRS SCORES AS LOW AS 300 TO APPLY FOR CANADA’S PERMANENT RESIDENCE.
The Province of Alberta through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee program (AINP) issued invitation to apply for permanent residence to 136 Express Entry Candidates on March 18th, 2020. The invites were given to Candidates with Comprehensive Ranking Scores (CRS) score of as low as 300. The AINP is one of Canada’s provincial nominee programs which provides opportunity for candidates to become permanent residents of Canada by first coming to the province of Alberta. A provincial nomination affords the applicant as well as his or her accompanying family members if applicable, to apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Canadian permanent residence. This is because the applicant will get additional 600 points which automatically makes him/her eligible to apply through the express entry.
Many provinces including Alberta has been issuing invitation to apply to candidates despite the current COVID 19 pandemic. This confirms that Canada is still processing applications. Alberta had in the past issued invitation to apply to many candidates who had as low as 300 in the express entry pool. Many occupations were considered in this recent draw.
