Ontario recently held a draw for express entry candidates with tech work experience to apply for provincial nomination. These tech draws were designed to meet the growing labour needs of the province tech sector.
In the recently concluded draw which took place on the 15th of January 2020, the province of Ontario issued 954 invites to candidates in the Express Entry pool who had a comprehensive Ranking score(CRS) between 460 and 472.
Those who got this Provincial nomination will automatically be awarded an additional 600 points which when added to their current CRS score will make them eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
Candidates selected in this draw had work experience in one of the following six occupations;
- Software engineers and designers(NOC 2173)
- Computer programmers and Interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
- Computer engineers(2147)
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
- Database analyst and data administrators (NOC 2172)
- Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)
