The province of Alberta has issued Notification of Interest (NOI) to 180 Candidates in the Express Entry (EE) pool to apply for permanent residence through Provincial Nomination. Notification of interest was issued to candidates who had Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 425.
For candidates who got the letters, and are processed successfully, they will be awarded an additional 600 points which when added to their current CRS score in the express entry pool will guarantee they are getting an Invitation to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry. The chances that they will be picked in the next draw is very high as they will have scores that will likely be close to 1000 or even more. In recent times candidates with CRS scores between 450 and 480 in the EE pool have been given Invitation to apply.
The AINP has held 17 draws so far in 2019 and issued a total of 3,996 NOIs. Alberta had previously selected candidates in the Express Entry pool with CRS scores as low as 300 in 2019.
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is one of the programs used by the government of Alberta to select candidates who meet the eligibility criteria from the express entry pool. Alberta does not have a list of eligible occupations for the stream but selects candidates based on their needs.
